Roof Repair in Sacramento
Most leaking roofs don’t need to be replaced — they need the right repair in the right spot. We repair tile, shingle and flat roofs: leaks, cracked or missing tiles and shingles, worn underlayment, flashing around chimneys, skylights and walls, and dry rot. Before: leaves and debris packed into the valley.
1. A clogged valley
Debris in a valley dams up water behind the tiles. The water sits on the underlayment and wears it out — one of the most common causes of tile roof leaks we see.
After: new valley metal and underlayment, ready for the original tiles.
2. How we fixed it
We lifted the tiles, replaced the worn underlayment, installed new valley metal so the valley carries water off the roof, and put the original tiles back.

3. Wind-driven rain at the ridge
When the seal under the ridge and hip caps fails, wind-driven rain blows under the caps and runs down under the tiles.
After: the ridge sealed with a new flash band.
4. Sealed for the next storm
We installed a new flash band along the ridge so wind-driven water can’t get under the caps, then reset the ridge caps.

When a roof really is at the end of its life, we replace it: shingle, tile and flat roofs, torn off down to the deck so we can fix any damage underneath. Clogged valleys and a packed channel by the chimney had been pushing water under the tiles for years. Once the tile came off, we found severe dry rot in the decking, replaced it, and installed a new Owens Corning shingle roof.

Insurance doesn't cover wear and tear, so a roof that leaks because it's old or the underlayment has worn out usually isn't covered. Check your policy or ask your agent what yours covers. Do you work on roofs in winter or in the rain?
Yes, we work year-round, just not in direct rain. We plan around the weather. Repairs get done all winter. Replacements take more planning in the rainy season, so start dates can shift with the forecast.
